i'm guessing it was wts insurance - kingdom hall fund possibly.
either way, since they do have this insurance division, i was just wondering if it is in name only and run through wts bethal offices or is it a seperate branch and completely seperate corporation.

IF THE BIBLE is so darned great---why don't people JUST read IT?
by Terry inworking in a bookstore i notice the thousands and thousands of books "explaining" what the bible really "means.".
those are what people read.. when people say they read the bible they are really saying they "try".
but, it is like reading chinese.. so, what they end up doing is reading opinions.. opinions, conjectures, hypothesis, fantasy, imaginative ruminations, fanciful concoctions......other people's ideas presented as documentary fact.. .

Glad you relate. It's pretty interesting how clear everything becomes when you decide to be completly honest and shed all your preconceived notions.
It's interesting you say that about not re-reading books - even C of C. I had only read snippets and excerpts for a few years before I actually ended up getting it and reading it cover to cover, but that was long after I knew the JW teachings were pretty much crazy so it wasn't really an eye-opener at that point. At any rate, I never felt the need to read it over and over again even though it was one of the best books I ever read too!

it's tough to stay in when you know its a farce. I had to do it for quite a while myself. Hopefully it won't last forever and you can break out with your family and some friends eventually.

They have a table at the local Walmart now
by life is to short inomg i just heard this morning that they have a table set up at the local walmart, so i had to drive by.
it is huge with two huge signs one spanish and one english of blown up pictures of some of the book covers like you can live forever and young people ask, etc with a card table in the middle and two very boarded looking people just sitting there.
this morning was the spanish congo's turn but the walmart is in my halls territory so the english speaking ones from my hall will man it on the english speaking times i guess.

R.Franz "Christian Freedom" Bk - Misuse of Disfellowshipping -WT Hypocrisy
by flipper injust finished the chapter in ray's " christian freedom " book on " misuse of disfellowshipping .
i highly recommend anyone reading it as it has numerous experiences of individuals who were mistreated so unjustly by the wt society's rigid rules - many in spite of 40, 50, or 60 yrs.
of faithful alleigance to the wt society's rules.

It is probably a bad idea, but I would like to get your opinion
by asilentone inis it a bad idea for me to invite a lady that i just met at wal mart to my home?
i have never have invited ladies that fast especially from the store to my home, but i wonder if i should have invited her right away???
i was waiting at the line and there was a gorgeous lady, she said hi first to me.
